BIRDS - January 25, 2026
West Seattle
Bird Making Workshop - 12-4pm $150/person
All levels welcome, no experience needed!
Ignite your imagination and get hands in clay as you construct a pair of personally inspired birds. This thoughtful hand building workshop teaches methods of shaping and joining clay to make a hollow form and shaping to create a bird. Creative thinking and imagination make these birds come to life. Other options are open as well!
We will explore several methods for creating surface texture from carving to embossing, using clay tools, and ordinary objects, practicing design strategies before applying them to the bird forms.
For this workshop you will have the opportunity to choose from a selection of glaze colors. I will do the first fire (bisque) and then glaze and fire again for the finished piece.
Pick-up will be a date about 2 weeks after the workshop. If unable to pick up, shipping is an option for an additional fee.
